(Chat said "Where's the dinner that goes with this desert?") Mrs. Davis played (& Mrs. Baker was there) Had stayed down this noon, and shopped and was quite tired by midnight. Dec. 5. Sat. Fine. J.G. & JW. got home from N.Y. this p.m. I left about five and went up to call on the Rogers, but only May was home. Had quite a nice visit with her. The girls are going to play with us again after the holidays. Met Mr. Titlow, Mother's new roomer, tonight. He is an electrician & seems very pleasant (& young) Dec. 6. Sun. Read the Bostock book (I got to give Con & Edith for Xmas) thro' today. And began on "The Proud Prince". Also wrote letters & put away "Diana" for the winter. Had inteded to go to Con's but it snowed & was nicer inside. Dear Claude called at noon.
