Nan saw me safely ensconced in "Lower 11" in the "Japhetus" (!) before she left me. Nov. 30 Mon. Only 3 ladies in the car, including myself but numerous men. Went to bed about 10:45 & slept very well. The man above me smoked a cigarette in the morning. Found snow and sleighing in the middle of N York State. Got coffee at Syracuse & arrived home about quarter of 11 (late) Went to the office till one and then home for the day, at Gilmore's kind suggestion (the "boys" are gone to N.Y.) Mother tied comfortables for the twins & I read & sewed and talked with her, in the parlor - Cooking school tonight - Made gingerbread - (It was good!) Skipper Hamilton phoned me today. Lura says Frank's wedding was a great success! Dec. 1. Tues. Got down to business today. This noon went up to Cro'nest with Claude, to take the Jap. bowl, and Char made me stay to lunch. Claude talks to a Women's Club about Art this p.m. Char & Claude both liked the bowl &c. &c. Stopped at home on the way down. Hamilton was in for a visit, looking very well indeed & apparently feeling so.
