delicious lunch we went to the Hollis St. Theatre, Nan
and I stopping on the way to inspect
Hotel Touraine - with its delightful library and all its
gorgeousness. The play was Nat GoodwinsI conception of "Midsummer Nights'
Dream" - a most splendiferous - production - Electries and
Costumes - Fairies in the air - Greek beauties and athletes -
Illuminated mushrooms and flowers - Puck flying about.

We all enjoyed in. We dashed from the theatre (an old, but pretty
one) to the Common and so to the bowels of the Earth again and took
our home car there - It was full of matinee ladies &c. who
talked rather entertainingly about nothing at all. We reached home
(in the cold moonlight) before six and soon had a nice supper
