Made Muffins tonight at cooking school.
Nov. 24 Tues.
Brighter today, with snow and some sun. The Davises
started for Frank's wedding on the Empire this p.m.
I phoned Frank
at noon and he sounded quite hilarious. This evening I went to see
Mrs. Humphrey Ward play "Agatha" with
Laura Hutchinson. We sat next to Morley
Turpin (way upstairs) who told us how good "Merely
Mary Ann" was last night. Both were played by
Eleanor Robson - who is an Ethel Barrymore -
Maude Adams - kind of a girl - quite charming
Edwin Elden made a good Col. Ford - the lover -
with a deep rich voice - and it was all well done.
Nov. 25 Wed
After I got home - at 11 I took a bath and washed my hair. It was a
fine cold morning and I
didn't take cold, as I expected to. A busy day
of course, and until nearly six tonight. Had a nice chicken dinner at home
and time to dress &c before starting, with Papa, about 8:30 for the train - (Margaret
Michaels was here just before - a sort of a farewell call
before starting for Europe - & rode down
in the car with us. We saw Mr. Pond
at the station and Mr.
& Mrs. Hiram Sibley, the little girl,
a maid and a man came along on my train at 9:06 pm.
