In the evening I went to church at our church and heard my friend Mr. Miller Mon. Nov. 2. Fine. Cooking school as usual this evening - Steak, I think it was. Tues. Nov. 3 The Great Day we've been looking forward to - Election! Fine day. Of course everyone was more or less excited. We have had funny ex- periences at the office with people wanting things - one man demanded $15.00 and a turkey! And another wanted to be sent to the hospital! Another wanted 8 kegs of beer! &c. and one wanted 10 cents but tho't he might get 15 if Mr. Cutler was in! Left the office before five and rode down to Mrs. Wray

's to see Mae and John, who are going to the Adirondacks tomorrow with Will Wrays' party. Coming up, the bulletins were already coming in and I stood and watched the "Times" with Chat & Edith J. - Then Chat & I went around for Frank at 6 & he came out and congratulated me and that was the first I knew for sure
