and a lot of callow Normalites, mostly seeing each other off. Nothing ever felt much better than that hot footbath I had before supper when I got home. I followed it at bed time with hot lemonades and things & slept fine. Oct. 11. Sun. Cloudy morning and some blue sky and beautiful thick clouds sailing around in it this p.m. I rode Diana over to the Davis's. Found Mary there (not Helen) & she and Chat and I had a "heart-to-heart" talk about the Perfects, singly and in a body! Oct. 12. Mon. Lovely day. Hustled home this p.m. and prepared for the Perfects Annual Reunion at the Rogers - Got in the car with Chat & Helen and the Mac Arthurs came along just as we got out & Edith and Lura were discovered in the offing. Tho' May was the "committee" she apparantly did nothing but sit for her pictures - and they were not done! and they forgot the cranberry sauce!! And the clams were sent Saturday instead of today!!! - a few such little incidents, including unfinished score cards &c.
