She recovered an hour or so later. I went up and put up my hammock on Mt. Marie and loafed a little on the Pinnacle and then Helen and I rowed over and inspected Mrs. Howson's new cottage (thro' the windows) and visited berry island, but didn't stay as we went to the Pointe later, Hamilton, Helen and I, in the brown-sailed boat. (afterward named "Bouncing Bet" - "for Napoleon's hired girl"!) It took us an hour and a half, but was delightful. "Tom Smith's" boat passed us with the men from Mc- Intosh's, Mr. Evans, Mr. Ross, Mr. Cavil, &c. We called at Mc I' just after their supper (we started late) and Mr. E. was looking very handsome in a white sweater & he and Ham. and I inspected the new ice box, as H. had just been making one. Mr. Evans was married the month Claude was - last Nov. and his wife reminds me of Miss Dymond (when she was young.) He explained how he asked to come down with Mr. Mc I. on Sunday and, by the way, Helen had a note from Mr. Fisher (Dr. Walker!) saying he & Dr Crossen tried to call Sunday and got lost. I had quite a talk with Mr. Cavil, a pleasant-appearing man from Collingwood. Met all the Misses Mc Intosh, who are very pleasant and attractive.
