They made a very long call and inspected every single tack in the place. Finally, about four or so, they asked us to go sailing, and Hamilton and I accepted. There was a fine breeze and we went down Bragdon Bay and thro' a Crack to Sturgeon Bay and had some fine sailing (on one ear) there. Meanwhile the McLean's were eating their "dinner" of bread and cheese and "Freddie
" was picking up the crumbs. The young girls were very pleasant and Mrs. McL. queer and dowdy but apparantly smart. The Hansons are nice "plain folks" - coming back near McI's island, my hat (Mary's, by the way) blew off and there was an exhibition of fine seamanship getting it again but they did it. It was rather latish in the afternoon when we got home - and I chose to stay, rather than go back to the
