seem very happy. Last night I changed my room all around. Papa
& Mama moved
into Claude's room & Mr.
Leboutillier is going to have theirs - &
Planz has fixed up the big one finely. Have
written a long letter to Trudy
tonight.

Tonight is the opening of the new athletic club and of the Art
Club exhibition, and we were going, but it pours - a coldish
very damp rainy night, so we've decided to stay at home. This is really
the first real rain we've had since Charlotte
came. The first week was perfectly beautiful.

I was there on Saturday to lunch - and
Willet Bowen, Char's
young cousin who was here asst. mgr. of the Syracuse football team,
also - we were the first guests. I ran away from the office in the p.m.
and played golf with Edith - the
first time
9th
in a year. The next day - Sunday - was
perfect October - weather. I took a long bicycle
ride thro' Highland Ave., stopping at Cro'nest
for a stroll down to the
sundial with Claude, while Char
enter- tained Mrs. Hoyt & Madeleine inside. I rode past Helen & Charlotte on
Monroe Ave., and we arranged to go to Sea
Breeze
in the afternoon, which we did - and while
