and as Albert Franklin, Lansing and Mr. Hawkins all wanted to go in swimming before supper, they yelled to “Gerald who rowed out for us and we were towed in in the most ignominious way! In the evening Mr. Wetmore took us for a long moonlight row-over past the Canoe Camp and the place they have church Sunday. It was a gorgeous moonlight night - the river like glass. Aug 22. Thurs. It was a lovely morning and I was up early and went for a row with Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Rice - all among last night's moonlight islands. It turned out to be quite a hot day. We spent part of the morning in the hammock &c. and then went Mr. & Mrs. Mc Connell and little Frank
over to Castle’s Island “Kalaria” – Mrs. Arnold was there and Miss Boddy and Henry Childs – besides the Castles. We saw some sailing races – the canoes & strolled about and visited. The Trumbell boys (Howard and Kenneth) of Montreal , were also there. They eat at our table at
