The night before Edith & I had tried the Scenic Railway - Which was simply terrible E. stopped them when we got twice around. After lunch we went to “Fair Japan which was simply charming. I watched an artist painting a long, long time and the theater was so good – a charming Jap girl had performing dogs and a man slid down a rope on the soles of his feet – forwards and backwards! We also saw the streets of Cairo – where Warren FiskHarry Severance & Clarence Mott appeared in the Wedding procession riding a camel! and went also to the Johnstown flood. It poured after that – so we went to the cinematograph and not to the Stadium as we intended. Saw Louis Stein several times. I think I'll ride in a Jinricksha next time It poured when we left – we just had time to go to Statler’s for supper & get the 6:50 home – it was dry in Rochester (!) but had poured in the morning so they couldn’t have the parade.
