in Board of Education matters &c.&c. Tuesday night we had great fun at the gymnasium practicing for an exhibition. I took a shower bath at about 70 degrees! and found Con here when I got home and Claude “jollying” each other and the

family. Thursday night I went up to Mae's new house (at her request) to stay with Edith while she & John were in N.Y. & Con came up and spent the evening with us. We got up
20th
early and walked down Friday morning and that day Edith, Mary & I lunched together at Sibley’s – and in the evening I went to the “Geisha” at Baker's with Con – it was very good and Will Ellwanger made a stunning Lieut. Fairfax.

Saturday I stayed down to lunch again as Mama was sick with the grip & has a woman to wash dishes etc. She was better tonight & Con
