Last week we spent (nights) at Helen Davis' "Vacation Home" - Corona Cliff at the Bay. Went down Saturday, Charlotte, Mary, Edith, Emma Lynch, Emma Michel & I. Saturday night Chat, Mary, E & I walked up to Fred- erica's & rode back- delightful

The next night day we loafed all day & I read "The King's Mirror."
Toward 5 o'clock Chat, Helen & I rowed down to Newport
. Then over the outer side, up toward Stony Pt. & home in time for 7 o'clock supper
(25th)
(dutch cheese &c.) Monday night Edith didn't come down. We went to the Lake again via Pt. Pleasant
(26th)
Tuesday loafed on the upper piazza Frank & Harry Backus were down
(27th)
with boxes of candy. Wednesday I was tired out. Went to the dentist then home for a bath & a nap & said goodbye to Mr. Burgess, who went tonight. Went down on the 5:22 car loafed again in the
(28th)
upper veranda. Thursday it poured in the p.m. we staid up late in town to Lura's brother's funeral
