to tea - the first time since last sum- mer, and a week ago Sunday,
I think it was – or two weeks ago Con
and I went up to see Mae &
John – Had supper in the
kitchen and everything nice, in the same old way. They are

dears. Last Wednesday Con brought
his baggage up & spent the evening and then bade us all goodbye
and went off to the hotel to sleep till 3 and then get up to all
early train for Portland Oregon, to spend the
holidays with his sisters. Then he expects to go to
San Francisco & down the coast to
Panama and home by the Caribbean sea!
He got a new camera like mine and I tried it for him on the boys and our
street &c.&c. Last week I was terribly smart and finished
all my
Christmas shopping and did up all the packages on Sunday –
tho’ I was sick enough with a cold to be in bed – and have been since
