1893 March 3rd Friday. Stormy, as usual. Frank

telephoned to say that he asked Miss H. and she decidedly objected to having her picture shown (I don't blame her) I said "it was no more than fair" and he said well, she didn't know who it was when she saw my picture! Of course I said "all right" & he told me how to recognize her - only 2 girls wear glasses. Ned and Edith came up & Ned paid me all the money she owed me (having just rec'd full pay from Parke's) & said she was going to N.Y. a week from Monday. Had quite a chat. I telephoned her later to come up to tea tomorrow night. J.W. kept me awfully busy - just rushed and I was mentally exhausted by the time he went home. Took a little walk up town and saw Cad a minute. Mama and I went down to our church fair in the evening. I bought candy & so did Bess Weaver who sat with us - and Bess Smith and Carrie Gould. They had "Copies of Famous Pictures" which were very fine indeed. "The Question" (Alena Fadema) with Katy Roby in pink as the Greek girl & Buell Mills
