took the cars across & managed to find the E.N.Y. car - as directed by Lilla & got to Vanderbilt Ave. without any mistake & asked a red headed urchin for "Willoughby Ave" - which he showed us & we got there but found no Lilla. The young girl asked us to come up in L's room - which we did & amused ourselves with books & things & looking out the window till 5.30 (an hour & a half) It had 3 windows - the room - & was in the 3rd story & real pleasant - considering it was "Brooklyn-y". When we tho't we had to go at last, we met Lilla on the corner & came back & she said she was going to Catskill for Easter vacation (Friday - no Saturday) & Ned could have her room - which was arranged with Mrs. Walker - a nice sort of a little woman with a sweet face like her young daughters. We arranged to go to the Doan tomorrow -
