Got up about 8:30 and after a brief breakfast had our presents on
the sitting room table. It was quite fun and took an hour or so. I
got Harper's Monthly for a year from
Mama, 4 lovely handkerchiefs (all from

from Edith. After that I washed
the breakfast dishes - ironed my organdie dress, washed my silk
waist. Ate lunch, read a little. Ate a little candy. Took a bath and
dressed in my summer clothes (but lots of them) to go to Frank Bellamy's Xmas
party. Claude wore his dress silk too
and we got there shortly after six. Rode up with Mrs. Hy.
