& I started off soon after two - to the Lake. Got the 3 o'clock car to Manitou - were an hour going over. Some cute Town- send babies - Kenneth & Douglas were on board & I quite lost my heart to them. When we got there I took Dot's picture with DeLos
(She tho't I was only taking his) and we saw the Parkers & sat & enjoyed things. Had a swell supper at 5:30 - white fish - broiled chicken ice cream, berries, coffee, cucumber, cream palatine &c. Then went out on the pier & watched people fishing (Abercrombie &c) and had a talk before going home at 7:30. It was a beautiful evening. Helen
& I stood up to Charlotte - ate pop- corn & talked to Dorothy coming up to the City. I got home about - 9. or 9.30 & read a little. Mate didn't come
