was there to cook the dinner and of course it was delicious chicken &c & Charlotte russe dessert. I had a long visit with Mrs. A & Mrs. D.
afterward, while Mama drove with the Dr. Then I went over and called on May Bunnell and got back after dark. Lizzie & Hat Mc- Curdy called and we laughed half an hour. They are so dear & funny. Lizzie is the same dear old girl as ever. We had supper at 7:30, when Mama & Edith got home from C.E. meeting. Then talked till our bedtime. I read "Coffee & Oct. 19 Monday Repartee" again. Another gray day. I staid in all the morning sewing doll's dresses (& golf capes &c.) for Edith's doll - little Greta Spinning came in too. After dinner I took Mrs. A's picture in the backyard - Helen Noyes Baker called - told her about her trip to Ossian Saturday & to Margaret Brown Hammond's last summer - & of her two children Mary
(age 3) and the boy baby. Before she went away (I like "Nellie
" too.) Dem came and before she left May Bunnell. I went "down to Klink's"
with her to get her negatives of the interiors we took last October. Then the Dr. took me up to Lizzie's - and after a few words with Mrs. McC. & the Dr. I spent a pleasant hour or so
