Gilmore comes down nearly every morning now - but not afternoons. Did some more errands tonight and after supper Ned came up with "Vicky Wetten". She spent most of the evening. We didn't ride except I led my wheel down with her & rode home. We stopped for grape phosphate. (Charlie Case treated me at Curran's this p.m.!) Coming home, I went down to Mary's a few minutes. Warren was there of course - He always is nowdays - Came home & wrote - Tired these days. Sunday. May 10th A beautiful sunny morning - Got up pretty early & Frank Davis appeared about 9:30. Claude sat on the front piazza with him tell I got ready and after a while Ned came. Claude took our picture as we started - which was about 10 o'clock. It was pretty warm & pretty windy - but I enjoyed the ride. Ned got tired on the boulevard hill so we sat down under a tree and watched the wheelmen & women. A funny fat man (& some more wheelmen) were not far off and amused us very much by their remarks. Finally we went on into the park and around the lake & over under the trees on the river bank & there we sat & lounged under the trees a long long while. It was a very hot day. I took a picture of the tree trunks around us and as we started home (towards one o'clock) I took my three companions. The wind was pretty bad coming home & the day was hot.
