May 1. Friday.
A gorgeous, blossomy, lovely May day. Rode up Plymouth
Ave. this noon with MaryHarry Severance, Warren Fisk. It was cloudy tonight & looked some like
rain, but Mary,
Nellie & I rode way over to
Davis' (4 miles) I enjoyed the
ride very much. Lura came up & told us the funny time they had at the
train last night (Mary missed
them, after all.) loading the seat with packages - mostly kitchen
utensils &c. an egg boiling basket made into a bird cage - a dish pan
full of fruit -&c.&c.&c. When we went home we all rode down to
the bridge together - Charlotte,
Mary, Nellie, Frank
& even Lura (who had 2 pretty bad
falls) & I.
Charlotte went back home & Frank rode with us thro'
Oxford St - gorgeous with magnolias - &
down East Avenue - crowded with wheels - &
Main St. & Plymouth Ave.
home. A lovely ride, which made me so sleepy!
Saturday. May 2.
Another perfect day - Gilmore was in
again & looks some better.- Oh. I wish he'd
get back! Tonight It was so lovely I rode on to Culver
St. & back before going home. Passed & repassed
J.G. Also J.W. & Anna - a
nice ride. Ned at noon - a little visit
& I promised to go down to Edith's tonight. Ned
went for a drive with Freddie this p.m.
& staid there to tea. I went on my wheel & stopped 5 minutes
at Mary's - On
Plymouth
