May Bragdon Diary, December 26, 1896, p. 259
1896
"
Sweet Violet
" soap! And a "heart (
glad
marble?) and
hand (glad)" cookies tied with ribbons. We all
got them - and
Hamilton
sent us each an
egg (blown) tied with ribbons to hang up, and
painted with a portrait of our character - mine
a most decidedly salty sea sailor - with
whiskers & moustache.
Bob Hawley

Mrs. Arnold
came about 10 and
Frank
later - in time to
got his sword (paper cutter) He was delighted
with it. I wonder how many things I can
remember, besides mine. We all got eggs & "heart & hands."
