After lunch I cleaned my wheel (and pinched my finger!) and took

and Ollie's with doll & hat - and also a couple
of little ones of Ollie (my little
Greek) and one of Elsie, 'cause yesterday
was her birthday. About 2:30 or so
Frank & Helen Davis and Helen

came (I took them on my last p.k. place) and
we rode out to the park. It was a gorgeous
day. We sat on the bank of the muddy little stream - where we could
see 'way across the fields & river - and talked & ate peanuts and
had a good time - a long time. Afterward we rode around the
Meadow Circle and didn't get off again till we came to
the ball game - tho' we passed people and deer and music and the
other attractions. Then they all came home with me. Helen Davis & I rode together & she
'fessed to me about feeling bad because she and Lura had outgrown each other. She says she thinks
L. is perfectly and entirely
infatuated with "E.A.C" and would do anything on
Earth for him if she had the opportunity. She is certainly in the
clouds when he is here and way below when he goes away. It's very
pathetic and terrible and I rather think
Helen is towards right about it.
