(but not the best view,) and a cider press nearby. We passed thro' Cape Neddick and found York Harbor very beautiful - and swell. Stopped at the Casino, and at the drug store for a drink of soda. Watched the people and costumes and traps and golf - get- ups - &c. with great interest. Drove about among some beautiful cottages and finally over to York Beach - which is much more common, but certainly a lovely beach - upon which we drove for awhile and - I hope - "caught" some of the passing bathers. The cottages were very scrubby and near together and the names very amusing - one in particular "Rocky View"! - and it was! In the village we stopped for popcorn and papers &c. and then rode on - about the same way home we "bicycled" - stopped by the beautiful little cove for Alice to take an old wreck there. Met Mr. & Mrs. Miller wheeling over to York to lunch. It was a beautiful day - and ride. Reached home in time to be trifle late for dinner and found Mrs. Reading had been here with Mr. Burr, the young man she has arranged shall bicycle with her(!) After dinner we packed up for Long Beach again, stopping to photograph Mr. Emslie(The Strawberry apple) and " Sport" -
