and so did Edith. Edith & Ned came soon after he did & we all joked awhile -
till
Con had to go. He wanted me to come
to the park later. We did, after a while, but didn't see him there. Sat on
a bench & watched the river and talked &c.
June 26. Sat.
A lovely day - Busy morning, as usual but I left at one &
stopped at Ned's and
Mrs. Thomas invited me to dinner (ice cream &c.)
They (Mr. & Mrs. T.) go to
Europe
Tuesday & this was a sort of a farewell - Oh, how I wish
Ned & I were going! I went up
home and about three, Ned,
Edith, Mary & Nellie
stopped for me and we went out to South
Park for a loaf and it was a loaf - under a tree
& on the haycocks till they were raked up. We played Pedro till the wind blew away the cards and
we posed for pictures & we talked vacation and just before six
we combed our hair & came home, after arranging a "Theatre
Party" for tonight. Con
came for me to go to the lake, just as we was starting. We went to
Cook's Opera House to see
"Our Boys" which was quite cute & funny.
Cummings
had a sort a "Lord Chummley" character and Jessie
Bonstelle was our "ingenue" so different from her
"Camille" - and
Cyclom. 3400
and so did Edith. Edith & Ned came soon after he did & we all joked awhile -
