girls somewhere. We put our wheels in the Cutler Bldg. just before the procession came, and Con found us. He looked unusually handsome - all clean & smiling and red-necktied and black-haired & bright-eyed. Will & Helen both looked very nice too. We watched the Parade till after Frank & the 1st Separate passed & then - at Con's suggestion - got our wheels and rode up East Avenue past the Industrial School boys - lined up (band playing "Rosie O'Grady") and on up to new St. Paul's Church - and then back down opposite Dr. Ely's - where we watched the parade march and counter - march again and of course laughed & enjoyed ourselves. Will called the drum majors "hot biscuits" and when we passed J.G. & Mrs. JW. and JW & Mrs. JG. & they recognized Con & me - but not Will & Helen , Will said "Did you see J.G. give us de icy face!" - And thereby hangs a tale - which Gilmore springs on me later with great effect - Oh - JG. What a "funny old boy". We lost them - or they lost us - coming down - & Con invited me to lunch & to the ball game - but instead, I took him (& a quart of ice cream) home to lunch - which I got mostly) and then we watched Theo & the Behns making sandwiches, and then
