His uniform is very becoming. Finally I agreed to dance the last lancers with him - Thereby hurting Mr. Backus's feelings! We got the quarter of 12 car home, Mr. B. with us - I staid with Helen - We talked "Murray" a little and Mary & Helen told me the most bewildering thing - that Mary said (and before her!) that she thought M. B. was the "nicest girl without exception she knew or ever had known" - or words to that effect and Ned added - next day - that she said she "didn't see anything anyone could dislike about her!" Of course Mary is a very one-sided girl - but she gave me sweet dreams.
