union. Yesterday I dined with Lura & we & Mrs. B. "shopped" in the

evenings. Today was another gorgeous October day. I had Amelie's Humber wheel & rode down to Mary's & we both went to Edith's, where we left our wheels (on account of the mid) and took the car (154) and went to the lake. It was lovely there & the surf was high. On the pier the spray lashed us and the little yachts were running on their rails and everything was breezy. There were a couple of schooners tied up out there - I went over one. The "Robert McDonald" of Picton. We were there a long while & enjoyed it. Then we looked at the tintypes & at the picture at the "Maze" and the man offered to let us go in free (after a long conversation) but we didn't
