Friday we had the club here. I rode
Dick's sister's wheel home at 4:15 (might have been
riding mine all this week if he'd had it together) & got things ready.
The house looked so pretty - Mr.

brought a big bunch of mignonette & Mrs.
B.
sent phosphate &c. The girls seemed to have a very good time.
Mabel was breaking out with
German measles & May
R's consternation was funny - & Emma's.
Mabel kept us roaring all evening. My
score was low as usual & Nellie got the ring. I was delighted. We had lemon
sherbet - nut & angel cake & coffee. Mrs
Andrews who was here last night

made the angel cake. I took a flashlight group - but the thing was
so long going off I nearly went to sleep - & Mabel
was acting so none of the girls were ready but all laughing or
trying not to. It was better tho' than the ones I took Thursday
