We finally woke up at 7:45! I
walked into the office about 9:20 - but it didn't matter. A little
cooler today - visited with Lura
this p.m. Florence Emith was in. Went to Claude's to supper - & to say goodbye to
Mal - who goes tomorrow. The boys
were dears. Claude just home from
N.Y.Miss Harrison and Miss Trunby from the
hospital called tonight - wrote later.
Thurs 1911
Lovely day - in spite of a
shower. Tappan
got back yesterday & we printed pictures of baby
Alice
. (7/31/11) Lunched at Cafeteria. Saw
Mary - was very busy. Had supper with
Claude on the hill
(& the dear
boys) another went down & took care of my cats. Read
"St Lawrence River" (Harper
lent me) and to bed by 10:30 - very tired.
Sat. 1912 Mother and I went off to
Coburg on the boat today. A fine day. Cloudy &
cool but not windy. Had good books to read & a good time.
Dan Berst & his wife on board. Also Grace Bingham,
Mabel Clark, Florence
& Gertrude Blackall & Miss
Osburs (V.O.Co.) Coming home Mrs. Reiner
& her sister from St. L.) & her children. We
met Letitia & Jo as we were going up to the
Cedarmere. Found Louisa
& Alf, & the dear "boydies" in bed - so handsome & friend of the horseshow - which they attended
yesterday &c. &c. Rain at night.

A hot, quite day. Several
"parties" about and to dinner. Had a lovely morning on the bluff under
the apple tree reading "Mr. Pratt" and loafing. Took a long nap
in p.m. In the evening had a fire on the shore (for mosquitoes) with -
