Very busy day. Gurdon came in the office tonight (with a
cigarette!) I deve- loped) a roll of film. After late supper read
"Caravaner's" aloud & & stitched. Talked very late with Meta.
Tues. 1911
A rainy day & cooler.
Shopped early and this noon lunched with Mother at Sibley's
and shopped again - tho' I'm about through
CFB got rested after his strenuous yesterday
but it was a busy day getting him off to N.Y. He
has decided not to go to
Washington. Did up packages (Mother's) tonight.
Jim told me about Helen Moeggy.
Thurs. 1912 Nana too ill to go to
N.Y. (I'm sure it's
almostpneumonia!) I went up there to supper and had Channie's birthday cake &c. They decided
he better not go but
Claude & Henry started off in good spirits - at nine. They brought me
to the house & came up to say goodnight to Mother.
Fri. 1913
Shopped this noon - &
stayed down to supper too - at child's, with Bohachek. Then came home to a very pleasant visit with
Marguerite who looked bright and
attractive. Bed late and very tired.
Sat. 1914
A strenuous day! The office
&
busy till 11:30. Then to the MI to get Henry &
Chan & lunch there & then shopped
with them till 3 (!!) Then to Nagle's to call on
Aunt Georgie Woods. Then to Chan's birthday party (11 children) and stay to dinner.
Then take Frances D. home & then to
Florence's for the evening (till 9:30) mem.
