296OCTOBER 14 Fri. 1910 Not very busy so this p.m. Mother& I went to the Industrial Exhibit. Heard a good concert. Pittsburgh Orchestra - & saw all the "stunts" of which ironing shirts was one! Rested & went to bed early tonight Sat. 1911 A perfect October day. Bought a new hat at Duffy's today. This p.m. went to Durand. Eastman Park with Mary Mac & Bess. Had a lovely walk in the words. & got chestnuts (Harry Thompson gave me some) came back by the "river". The cars were delayed & we were 2 hours getting home (waited at Sea breeze mostly) The Perfects went to see The Ruth

but I didn't get a seat. Was too tired anyway!
Mon. 1912 Lovely day. Worked very hard on Gilmore's specifications - no lunch came home tired and went to bed between. Began re-reading "The Giants Robe" Tues. 1913 Lovely-warmer. Saw Florence some time this room. She's got to go to Saranac! She told me her still greater trouble (EAS) Later we lunched with Mother. Who went to Autumn Chapter. This p.m. went to the Gordon. Home to late supper bath & bed. Eugenie was in today Wed. 1914 Cool. Went & Miss McDonald's this am. Lunched with Marguerite At Sibley's & saw nearly everyone knew - even from Dansville & N.Y.! went to Maude Adams with Florence
tonight in the "Legend of Leonora" - very cute indeed. Edith J. & EAS. were there &c.
