90MARCH 30 Wed 1910 Cloudy & warm & a few sprinkles. Walked down with Jno Frey & got all the latest news. Expecting Theo home this week, when the plan is so send him to Ransa's
for "a couple of years". Meta has grippe. Home to lunch & tonight read "Following the Equator" (Mark Twain). There a very funny page of two about a dachsund & dogs in general. Sewed & wrote later.
Thurs. 1911 Got up latish (den) Got to office at 10 & took two hours & a half at noon! resting!! A heavy snow storm. 4 in. Kept in up a good deal of the day. Henry & Chan were here to dinner & so dear. I took pictures - Hippo. tonight. Called on the Rowe's & sewed awhile - Still quite used up. Sat 1912 A bright, cool Marchy day. Lunched with Bess at Sibley's. She is still "expecting" figures on the new house. I finished Wray Spec. & went back after my shopping &c. to the office till six - simply because there was nothing more interesting to do. Sun 1913 Cloudy. Family on the hill still sick Cleared out my closet this a.m. Had dinner at Home with Mother. Took a walk with Coralyn
- up Plymouth Ave. Across the bridge & back by Cro'nest. The river still way over the road (it was up to the boat house Eaves.) The boys all slightly better - but all a bed. walked back 'cross lots. Read &c. at night & had a nice supper about 8 o'clock.
Mon 1914 Rainy Morning & Misty all day. Eugenie, Claude & Clarence went dog-hunting out Otis way this a.m. This p.m. Jim and Hersher a hardware man and I went to Judson's. I'm delighted with the location & the house is OK as to aspects. We read aloud some tonight. Have still a bad cold.
