82MARCH 22 Tues. 1910 Dear Mother's & Father's Golden Wedding Day! They had such lovely things daffodils, tulips primroses (from the Boys) Azaleas - Lovely plates from Autumn Chapter & Mr. & Mrs. Andrews. Pitcher- book - poems - letters candy wine, sachets, basket, gold pieces, silk dress, house coat &c &c. I lunched them at Sibley's (with Bess & Mary) & this eve. Meta called & later Mr.
& Mrs. Chapin. It was a beaut- ful day & beautiful moonlight night. Claude came & our babies this p.m. Mother looked young and beautiful & Father old, but handsome. Bed late.
Wed. 1911 Mother's 51th Anniversary. Lovely morning but then rain & in the evening snow. Mother took me to lunch at Duffy's & we shopped a good deal. Bought her a silk coat & a spring hat at McCurdy's. Played a little flinch at night & read & sewed. Fri. 1912 Dear Mother's wedding day. Brighter than yesterday, but wintry. Home to lunch. It is so nice to have Claude home. He is so "inspiring". Got a telegram from Alice she would be here till tomorrow. C.F. & I got "handy" electric light for Mother. Sat. 1913 Mother's wedding day. Hard wind & rain last night. Went to Cro'nest but Henry & Chan couldn't have the Easter party as H. was sick with tonsilitis. Went to the conservatory and then back to the office to work. Loafed beautifully tonight. Sun. 1914 Dear Mother's wedding day. We all went to Brigg's to dinner & the "Nichols girls" - (late) Then Ruth
& I walked down to Edith's for a call and then over to the Ex. Park & rode down to "Hever Hall" but found no one home. Came back to supper & a rest.
