Slept upstairs & got up
about 6 (-4 degree) Stood on the corner 20 mins. or so & car came at 7.
Got to station & found Nan's train
2 hours 40 min late. Read paper & watched "Follies of 1909" co.
Claude came from N.Y.Nan about 10. Nice visit this a.m. and
Bess & Mary & Claude to dinner.
Sat around fire after- ward till nearly 5. then all went up to Cro'nest. Children were lovely. Read Mother Goose to Chan. Nice visit with Nan in
evening & late supper - chicken salad &c. upstairs to bed about
11 - Same old dear Nan - Liked my girls.
Very cold! Mon. 1911
A regular blizzard a good
deal of the day & all the evening - like last year. I came home at
noon tho' - & Meta told me what a
time she had getting off at 5:30 this a.m. in a taxi & holding the Lehigh
train! Tonight I stayed & developed two rolls of film - cats &
boys - & read a manuscript story of Claude's & then went to the Hippo -
& home for a short cozy evening with with Mother - who is getting a cold!
Tues. 1912 Mother came down this p.m. & we did
a few errands &. Then went to the Hippodrome!
Did a few other things & had a late
supper, of course & then fin- ished the "New Chronicles of
Rebecca
Nice letter from Alice Wolfe from
Con's new house.
Thurs. 1913.
Very cold. Tonight
Florence Mc Laughlin &
Edith Scott came up & spent
the evening. We had a nice time in front of the fire - Sherbet &c.
She goes abroad next year. She is quite Amusing to me. We planned a
winter walk

Colder & snow at night.
Stopped to say goodbye to Harriette
, Alice & Nan as they were eating breakfast at the
Rochester. Clarence
sick to day - Claude & Henry went to Canandaigua.
This a.m. This evening took & short nap - & played
"Rain" with Ruth
awhile. Then wrote a bit (checks &c!) Didn't get to bed
very early, I regret to say.
