182JUNE 30 Thurs 1910 Warm but a pleasant a.m. Mother& I went to the Hospital early & saw Father a minute. Claude came later & we waited an hour or so till the Dr. Jewett & Snow came & told us it was over all about it. Later Mother & I saw him in the re- covery room - Came home & rested - with frequent telephones - till 4. then to the Hospital again & both Dr. & then new nurse. Miss Hull were very hopeful - but he did have a severe shock - ok at 10:30. Fri 1911 Lovely day. Claude did another kind act (got $100 from Mrs Whitney) for Sherby
- Of course he was delighted. I was busy making out bills&c all day Mary
's bill passed the Democrats & she may lose her top. Marguerite walked down with me this a.m. & had lots of company herself today Dansville girls. I came home to lunch Played flinchwith Mother tonight. Head & eyes ached but I went to Hippodrome - !
Sun 1912 Lovely day Miss McD. very pleasant. Read some this a.m. Went up to CB's to dinner (ate visible) Good & have Nana there. The boys came down with us about 3:30 and I went on to a long visit with. Alice Galloway. Showed me her little things. Mr. & Mrs. G Sr. came just after we finished our ice cream & cake. Read cold tonight. Peterslept with me! Mon 1913. Awfully hot. Lunched with Edith & she told me about with &c. Shopped later. Sam G 'phoned about our trip & Florence McL. I was just about used up- teeth hurt &c. Came home at 5 & had a bath & washed my hair and didn't dress again (really) Read & did cash accounts &c. &c. Tues 1914 Perfect day. To Claude's early to see little "Fiddlex". Rode down & later to Bradys & by detour to Amelie's - with Jim Both houses all lovely. Long lunch with Florence. Banks & then to the Movies tonight. Figured & read later. Heard from "Hagar Moreland" the other day!
