155JUNE 3 Fri. 1910
Some pleasant but cool.
Father went up to Cro'nest
to lunch with Mr.
Rogers & sit before the fine, I lunched (after Nan shampooed me) alone & went to
Hippo tonight. Marguerite was over quite excited about Edith as new diamond ring
(I known it was coming). Had quite a visit with Herma
this evening. The baby is a dear & awfully spoiled. Read a little
& did accounts & back &c. I am so sleepy nowadays. Claude home from Boston.
Sat 1911
Horrid morning but glorious
moonlight evening lovely p.m. Went to Sibley's with Lura to
lunch & later out to Mrs. Buell's with Mother. We had tea in the piazza and such a
nice visit. Then I went down to "Camp Merrimac"
Mary's tent & had supper out her &
Nellie, Went to the grocery called
on Hattie
&c. Fred W.
is in town & Claude had W.H. to dine lunch
with him. The Hampdens leave at midnight tonight.
Mon 1912
Nice day but I was very much used up - could easily have been sick
a bed. but felt better toward tonight & stayed to develop pictures.
Bess came up. Had a visit from
Marguerite - just back from
Dansville. Went to bed about nine & slept till
nearly 8 a.m.!
Tues 1913.
Started out lovely but
cloudy tonight & showers around. Went down over to banks and then
lunched with
Bess & Mary at the tin horn - Home no good tonight
(ulcerated tooth!) Now I'll read "V.V's Eyes" in bed awhile!
Wed 1914
We got our
Portage pictures today (fine!) & I lunched with
Bess & Mary
over them. Went to the Gordon to see the
"Sea Wolf" tonight (quite wonderful!) later addressed postals
for Claude's lectures on Friday
