Sun. Feb. 14 Valentines Day. Went the dear Claude's to dinner and had a long afternoon with the children & their valentines (* pictures) Henry does adore "Al'cy" his doll so. "Don't fall Al'cy" and "See the goops goin' uppy-tair (upstairs) Al'cy" &c. &c. Came home about dusk. Marguerite was over. Bed early - sleepy Mon. Feb. 15.

Chandler 14 mos. 20 1/2 lbs.
Mother sick with a very hard cold - Sleet storm at noon. Went to Seel's to lunch & over to the Hippodrome. Did Chattie's & Lura's puzzle tonight while Papa read "Copperfield". Feb. 16. Tues. Got breakfast, but Mother came down to it. Cafeteria to lunch. Horrid stormy day. Feb. 17. Wed. Sunshine at last. Home to lunch & to Dr. Scranton's at noon. "Copperfield" & flinch Feb. 18. Thurs. Nice day. "Hemeny-Bun" (as he calls him- self & his father calls him) is sick with a very hard cold. Lunched with Mother & went to Mary Murray's with her. Jack Boyce came back tonight. He has been in Canada with his mother since October. Feb. 19. Fri. Sunny & nice this a.m but foggy & horrid later. Had Milly & Lillian Davis to lunch at Sibley's today and they both seemed to enjoy it very much and I'm sure I did. Pouring rain tonight Feb. 20. Sat. Shopped around at Sibley's & Scrantom's with "Alicia" tonight. Weather still horrid. The Dr. is almost afraid Henry has measles! Feb. 21. Sun. Sunny morning. It isn't measles. Went up to Cro'nest & saw the dear boy (in bed) this p.m. He's so good (& so uncomfortable)
