Sept. 4 Sat. Horrid day - rain &c. Of course no holiday (tho' we weren't busy) Went to Hippodrome & batted around generally tonight. Scrantom's &c. Sept. 5 Sun. Made prints. It cleared off at noon & CFB, Father & Mother were my guests at the Whitcomb at dinner. Letitia & her cousin Major Jackson

turned up there too & Ray Hanna. Went right out to Davis' afterward with a borrowed 4x5 camera (which proved to be no good) & took a lot of pictures of Francey Davis. Lillian & Frank both told me what a time she had had - with pain which she feared was the return of the cancer - & how the Dr. (Snow)
came yesterday & reassured her. After Frances had posed on Avondale Park, she & Frank & I & L's Aunt walked up to Cobbs Hill reservoir & the beginnings of the new park - fine! Then I skurried to Cro'nest. Kissed the babies, got Mother, who was there & went to Alice Jones' new house, out on the Clover St. road, Where the 3 Willard's were spending Sunday. Lew wasn't home, but the two children were & we enjoyed the visit & the Dutch supper & all. Charles is very much of a junior & carries a cane &c. &c! Sept. 6 Mon. Henry is 3 today - & its Labor Day & fine. Made prints all the a.m. & wento to Cro'nest early to the Party. All outdoors - so pretty. He had on his pretty suit from
