We were rather busy and Mother and I had planned to go to Seneca Park to the pony Show this p.m. but a hard thunder shower came up before we really got started so we didn't go. Visited with Meta and the twins

and later played flinch with Jack Boyce & Mother - began reading "Fenwick's Career" but my eyes ached so I just rested a good deal of the time (ditto Zenda) Tonight did accounts and wrote &c. Jun. 17. Sun. It poured today, nearly all day. A man was struck by lightning in Seneca Park yesterday p.m. I put on my Mackintosh & went up to Cro'nest & had a nice long letter visit with Char. She was in bed today &
