Had apple blossoms, violets, lilacs &c. and the girls left me at Union St. The Barnums Miss Lathrop were on - Got home in time for a piece of toast and a cup of tea (!) With the family & to give Zozie his catnip! No wonder I gained 7 pound (! the scales said!) and Mary 4 - Wrote & figured, later. Mon - Wed June 3-5. Cold & dismal - Police parade put off from day to day - Lunched at the Cafeteria Monday & at night Mother & I went out to MacArthur's with the pictures. Had a nice visit - Tuesday - played flinch, read &c. Wed. Mother went to Prayer - meetings & got caught in the rain - Papa called on Pendexter. Marguerite was over. J.W. went to a yachting trip with Hiram Sibley, to the Jamestown Exposition - Thurs. night. Thurs. Jun 6. Miss Flack and I went to Duffey's to dinner (my treat) nice time - saw Ward's group of the lions & the cobra afterwards.
