Went to the station with
Nan. Some pleasanter today.
Home at noon & settled for the evening when Mrs. Andrews came, unexpectedly, from visiting
Edith in Mexico
. She has an awful cold,
but we enjoyed her stories as usual. She slept in my bed and I slept
on my divan at the foot of it - very cozy.
Feb. 26 Tues.
JW. went to Albany
this morning. His mother is dying. I lunched with Mrs. Andrews and Mother at
Sibley's at noon & we looked
at carpets at Mc Cabe's new store.
Esther Warmington's engagement was announced yesterday
& she &
Mr. Leggett were at Sibley's today. The Townson baby - a
fourth boy - arrived & Lura
took up a lovely basinet and hamper. Wrote, read & figured tonight.
Feb. 27 Wed.
J.W. is back & J.G. went to Albany
this p.m. (much against his will.) Quite cold - very busy - read -
Mother & prayer mtg.
Feb. 28 Thurs
Mrs. Jno. N. Cutler died today - Lunched at Sibley's - alone - Later Florence
Fisk
came in and we had a nice visit about
England &c. Claude & Char
are home & had a good time. Mrs
Wilkinson has sold her house,
