just a little late for dinner.
Papa read tonight.
Jan 25 Fri.
Five above zero - Dark. Lunched
with GCB
at Sibley's and went to Nan's & had my hair brushed. Tonight
went home to dinner with Lura.
Mrs. Davis was there with a
letter from Helen. She doesn't like
Florida over-well. Had a good
dinner & then the B's
& I went to Cooks met Laura
& the Macs. (Also Chat & Hamilton) and saw a good vaudeville bill and
Arnold Daly in "How He lied to her Husband)
He is fatter but just as amusing as before.
Isabella Urquart (his "Aurora") was sick and the
little banjo player took her part - very well, too. Much milder tonight
Jan. 26 Sat.
Fine winter day. Jack has gone to work today. Shopped (with
Mother some) tonight.
Jan 27. Sun
Fine winter day. Walked up to
Cro'nest
and saw my lovely
nephew. He weighed 13 lbs (undressed) & is a dandy. He laughed & cooed to me. After dinner went down to
Edith's. Harry's children were there - they are cunning little
girls. Mrs. Wray
told all about Kingston & Will about the Automobile
Show. Later they all went to church & Edith & I had a chat and supper in
the kitchen. Came home early.
Jan 28
Fine day. Papa read aloud tonight & I sewed.
Jan 29 Tues.
Lunched at Sibley's with Mother & we shopped (rather unsuccessfully) JG. & JW. got home
just a little late for dinner.
