Lovely morning but cloudy later & a drop of rain & now & then. Lura is home from N.Y. The town is full of Syracuse & Buffalo youngsters for football this p.m. It came out East High 6 - Syracuse 11 and West High 16 - Masten Park O. I went up to the East High School to see them & met Florence
 & Belle Rogers. We went in & heard the rooting & singing & saw them going down to supper by the hundred and then saw them eating - a nice supper too - even to croquettes & ice cream! Came down in the car together & tonight read, wrote & now a hot bath & bed! Sun. Nov. 11

Snow & rainy all day. Meant to go to Cro'nest but it was so bad I only telephoned up. Read "Call of the Bloods" (Hichens) a good deal of the day but toward dark went out in the rain & walked the long way - over Clarissa St. Bridge &c. to Lura's. Had a nice visit with her about New York and then Helen & her cousin Elizabeth Davis came from the "Y" to supper and Helen told us funny stories about Ojibway experiences. She had quite a summer. Sat up late, reading. Nov. 12 Mon Still rain & snow - a horrid day. Had a chat with Meta & Amelie this noon -
