road. I found the house locked & had no key (KEB & GCB had gone to the Ball game!) and so I left my camera at Meta's & rode over to Davis's & had a chat with Chattie & her parents & rode down with her & Frank. They went to the circus. I could have gone but gave Claude the (press) tickets & he took 2 small boys. After supper Mother went to prayer meeting & I washed the dishes & was just deciding what to do, when Herbert Caswell came and wanted me to go to the Opera! so I did - and we had a
