ushered me into a fine side - front seat, by Ned & Frederica. We talked fast until things commenced.
Will & Elsie
came (Elsie in gray & pale
green velvet) &
Edith in white silk & Dresden
ribbon &
Papa
& then the Watts
family. Finally Mrs. Smythe struck up the
wedding march & Harry was seen
approaching up the side aisle, with Clark
Southard. The four ushers came up the middle. Then little
Dorothy May in white organdie & a
big daisy bouquet & then Ida
on her father's arm. She wore white silk & a white hat &
looked pale & quite used - up. Harry looked very well.
Ida looked better afterward.
Mr. Kirkpatrick married them. Ida
carried white sweet peas. Finally they & the guests/relatives
who were going to the house got out & we followed.
Ned coaxed me to walk down home with
her & then we met Frederika
coming from the other way with Raymond
and they walked back to the car with me. Ida & Harry are to leave about 8:30 tonight - for the
Catskills, I think.
