N.Y. state bldg at the Fair. The Sienna staircase &
lions were certainly fine. Also the glimpse of
the court & fountain from the little stone balcony. We went thro'
the halls and ref. rooms (some of them) and newspaper room and into
beauti- ful Bates Hall & in dull green & whitish
green - white busts on Serpentine marble pedestals - mantels -
everything fine. No use trying to describe it all, either - not

disappointed in the way in which they were placed. The coloring of
