It was so late when we went to bed last night and so early when we got up this morning we really felt quite "we slept over". It was a lovely morning and every- thing went off right. Papa went to the train with us & we all got weighed. Helen & Frederica saw us off and came into the train house & chatted with us while the train waited for breakfast. Had a pleasant ride - tho' long & a little tedious. A lovely lunch at noon - fine scenery - and a scraped acquaintance with an entertaining little English boy (Tom Smith) who was on his way back to England with his grandmother - &c.
