Main St! & Plymouth Ave. Such a lovely ride. We saw Mary home & then F.came up with me. Went bet. 6 & 7 miles only May 18. Sat. Busy day - Claude got back. Ned did not come at five- nor send any word - So Claude went to the poster exhibit with me & we walked home together. The papers have been more or less full of "the show" for a week. Spent the evening helping Mama fix my skirt while Papa read aloud from "The Water Ghost"

- by gift from Edith. May 19. Sun. We were going to the Park this am. (Frank, Mary & I) but it began to rain at 9:30 and got worse & worse till it poured - good for all day & all night, I'm sure. Sat out doors & read "The Amateur Emigrant"
- on the piazza - with coat & hat on. Then went up stairs & watched Claude collecting his things to go -& came down by the dining room window to write etc. But it did clear off this afternoon and Mary came for me &
