Aug. 30 Fri
A perfectly delightful day. Saw Frank,
Hamilton, Charlotte & Mary
this p.m. & a trip was planned for tonight. They 4 and
Ned & Kate
Davis rode to the lake
on their wheels at 6:30 and Trudy
& I went on the Windsor Beach car about the
same time (after & nice hearty supper at home) It was a
delightful ride. We passed the wheelers on the boulevard and found
Helen, Lura & Mrs. Davis
watching at the W.B. station, where we arrived
just about sunset. Walked to the pavilion with Mrs. D. & down the board walk &
along the bluff & way around the square, in fact & finally the
others had come & lunched (they hadn't had supper!) & had
their fortunes told &c. and we walked over (via. Ferry &c.) to
Ontario Beach & took possession of two tables
in the auditorium - for "Pinafore".
Little Buttercup was just the queerest & funniest out of
Pinafore I ever saw! Between the acts Ezra
Booth came out to recite & Hamilton & I meantime took a walk over to the cottage,
where we stuck our heads through the window
